Individual Note: Louisa "Lillie" Winder was found in the 1920 census living at 1026 S. Broad St. , Trenton, NJ. Her daughter, Elizabeth Parker lives with her and both are widowed.
The 1930 Federal Census for the 11th Ward of the city of Trenton, New Jersey lists only Louisa S. Winder, 77; her daughter, Elizabeth Parks, 54 living at 1026 South Broad Street. Also living with them is a boarder, Leonard Hance, 71, he is a machinist in a wire mill, he was born in New Jersey and his parents born in Germany. All are widowed. Louisa rents the house and has a personal property value of $30. Louisa and her parents were born in Pennsylvania. Elizabeth was born in Pennsylvania, her father born in New Jersey; she works in a department store. (April 14, 1930; p. 14B)

Did Winder Kill Himself? Funeral Services Held for his Remains in this City. No Cause Assigned for the Act.
paraphased: William H. Winder was found near the canal in Newark, NJ with a bullet hole through his heart. A note was found on the body stating that he lived at 1083 South Clinton Street (Trenton) also on the note was written "Miss Lizzie Winder" who was later found to be his sister. His landlady, Mrs. Gutsch, stated that he seemed distraught and he did not care whether or not he made any money.
The article also states that he has two "motherless" children who are in the care of his own mother (in Trenton).

Individual Note: Edward Winder was found in the 1920 census living on Whitehead Manor in Hamilton Twp. Mercer Co., NJ. He has a wife, Jennie, 56 born in England she got her citizenship in 1896. Edward is a driver in a car shop.

Individual Note: It is believed that this James Winder is the one in the 1920 census of Hamilton Sqaure Road, Hamilton Twp., Mercer Co. NJ. He is 43, married and living with the Elwood Sharp family as a hired farm laboror.
the 1930 census continues to list James Winder, 57 single as a servant for the E. Sharp family farm on Sharp Lane/Whitehouse Road in Hamilton Twp., Mercer Co., NJ.
We must assume James Winder never married.
