     Donald S. Reeder

Donald S. Reeder, 65, of 5933 Warrensville Road, Eldred Twp., died on Oct. 28, 2006 at the Williamsport Hospital.

Born Nov. 27, 1940 in Warrensville, he was the son of Arnold L. and Hazel Althea Davidson Reeder.

He and his wife the former Elsie Ann Hipple had celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary on Jan. 30, 2006.

Donald enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and crossword puzzles.

Surviving him besides his wife is a son, Donald W. Reeder of Warrensville; six daughters, Jackie A. (Timothy) Shearer of Huntersville, Barb E. (Gary) Easton of Rose Valley, Sue M. Zechman of Warrensville, Shelley A. Mitchell of Loyalsockville, Denise G. Stroble of Warrensville and Becky J. (Aaron) Fish of Harpers Ferry, W.Va.; 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Predeceasing him were two brothers, Charles and Gene.

There will be a graveside service Wednesday, Nov. 1, 11 a.m. at the St. James Lutheran Church Cemetery, Fairfield Twp. with the Rev. Marie E. Lewis officiating.

There will be no visitation and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association, 3544 N. Progress Ave., Suite 202, Harrisburg, PA 17110.

     JOHN LOCKARD came from Now Jersey to Lycoming county at an early day, and settled on a farm He was the father of six children: Alexander; Thomas; Abraham; Peter; Jane, and John. John Lockard, son of John Lockard, was a farmer by occupation, and married Catherine Fague, by whom he had fourteen children: Two who died in infancy; William; Abraham; George; Matthias; Samuel; Hannah; Elizabeth; Catherine; Ella; Alfred, deceased; John, deceased, and Margaret J., deceased.      The 1900 Federal Census lists Peter Narber, 70 and his wife, Margaret, 52 living in the 1st ward of Hughesville boro, Lycoming Co., PA. They have been married 10 years.

David L. Narber
       David L. Narber, 75, of 1862 Rabbittown Road, Pennsdale, died Saturday, Nov. 8, 2003, at the Muncy Valley Hospital.
       He and his wife, the former Ina M. Hagemeyer, celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary on Jan. 27.
       Born Sept. 29, 1928, in Muncy Twp., he was the son of Peter J. and Louisa Milheim Narber.
       David retired from the former Sprout-Waldron, now Andritz, in 1979, and was a member of their Quarter Century Club. He was a U.S. Marine veteran of the Korean conflict. He was a member of Roland Ritter Post 268 American Legion and the Good Samaritan Club. He was a charter member of Muncy Twp. Volunteer Fire Co.
       Surviving in addition to his wife are one son, Todd (Regina) Narber of Picture Rocks; two daughters, Bertha (David) Hall of Hughesville, Ivy (Dean Jr.) Confer of Muncy; one sister, Bertha Harris of Turbotville; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers, Franklin and Roy Narber; two sisters, Anna Mae Worthington and Hazel Houseknecht; and one grandson, Peter Hall.
       The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 10, at the Wallis-Grenoble Funeral Home, 121 S. Main St., Muncy with the Rev. Charles Mercer officiating. Burial will be in Muncy Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
       The family will provide the flowers and requests memorial contributions be made in his name to a charity of one’s choice.

     E. W. LUNDY was born in Fairfield township, Lycoming county, Pennsylvania, June 22, 1830. His father, Samuel Lundy, was born in Fairfield township, Lycoming county, in 1807, and was a son of one of the early settlers of that locality. His mother, Mary (Milnor) Lundy, was born in 1806, and by her marriage to Mr. Lundy became the mother of five children: E. W.; Jerome B.; Anna Eliza, who married John Entz; Mary Jane, who married Lewis Casner, and Sarah Emily, who married Jacob Smithgall. The subject of this sketch was married to Mary Guinter in 1854. She bore him the following children: John B., who married Margaret Jane Smithgall; Samuel I., who married Alice Sweeley; Catharine, who became the wife of Charles P. Hoover; Joseph W., who married Emma Reecer; George Alva; Cora A.; Michael E., and Nathan B. In politics Mr. Lundy is a stanch Democrat. He has been a justice of the peace for fifteen years, has filled nearly all of the important offices in his township, and has been a member of the school board about thirty years. For the past twenty-five years Mr. Lundy has been engaged in the tanning business, in which he has been quite successful, and is one of the well to do citizens of Eldred township.      The 1910 census lists George M. Husselton, 43 living at 102 Penn St. (9th ward) Williamsport, Lycoming Co., PA. Living with him are his wife, Amanda, 33; son, Harry W. (Collins)12; daughter, Maggie, M., 11; son, Walter R. less than one year old. They have been married 7 years (Harry and Maggie are not George's children). Three of Amanda's six children are living. George is a driver for a garbage company. He rents the house and is not a survivor/veteran of the Civil War. (April 20, 1910; E.D. 95-11; visit 205)

The 1920 Federal Census lists George M. Husselton, 53 living at 428 South Street, Williamsport, Lycoming Co., PA. Living with him are his wife, Amanda E. , 43; Stepson, Harry W. Collins, 21, single; son, Walter M. 9; and daughter, Mona A. 4. George is a blacksmith's helper and rents his house. Harry is a stock clerk at at rubber company. All born in PA.

The 1930 Federal Census lists George Husselton, 63 living at 55 Bates Street, N.W. Washington, DC with his wife Amanda, 53. They live with Amanda's daughter, Margaret May Price Schrum. George was 37 when he married Amanda when she was 27. Both were born in PA. George is a laborer in odd jobs.

Individual Note:
     ROBERT K. REEDER, lawyer, was born in Lycoming county, Pennsylvania, June 11, 1858, soil of Peter and Sarah (Ritter) Reeder. He was educated at the public schools of Hughesville and Dickinson Seminary, of Williamsport, Pennsylvanih. In 1881 lie be,,an the study of Law under the tuition of W. E. Crawford, of Hughesville, and was admitted to the bar of Lycoming county in 1883. He practiced law in partnership with his preceptor until 1885, when he was elected to the State legislature, being the youngest member who ever served from this county. At the close of his official career at the State capital he located at Muncy, where he has devoted his entire time to his chosen profession

     Obituary, Williamsport Gazette & Bulletin, February 13, 1936, page 2:

"HUGHESVILLE--Mrs. Margaret Van Buskirk, 75, died at her home here Tuesday
evening at 5:25 o'clock, after an illness of six months, following a parlytic stroke.
Surviving are three brothers; Robert K. and Milton E. Reeder, of Muncy, and
Frank A. Reeder, of Hughesville. Funeral servces will be held tomorrow afternoon
at 2 o'clock at the home on South Main Street, in charge of the Rev. Herman G. Steumpfle, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church of which she was a member. Interment will be made in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery."
