     Harry M. Collins Obituary from the Williamsport Sun-Gazette Post Date: 1/29/2003

        Harry M. "Pap" Collins, 81, of 2001 Memorial Ave., died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2003, at the Williamsport Hospital Emergency Room. He and his wife, the former Lois E. Lundy, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Oct. 4, 2002.
       Harry retired in 1981 after 30 years with the former Lowery Electric Co. He was a member of Trinity U.M. Church and he loved bowling, gardening and being with his family.
       Born Sept. 21, 1921, in Williamsport, he was a son of Harry W. and Sara Fry Collins.
       Surviving besides his wife, are sons, Harry (Judy) of Nisbet, Ronald (Kay) of Trout Run and Glenn (Helen) of Linden; daughters, Donna (Tom Kleman) Epting of Mechanicsburg, Patricia (Wayne) Knapp and Robyn (Randolph) Weaver, both of Williamsport; a sister, Victoria E. Collins of Danville; 19 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a nephew, Hiram (Skip) Reed of Williamsport, whom he raised.
       Harry was predeceased by a sister, Marion E. Dahlgren.
       Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the church, 1971 Lycoming Creek Road, with the Rev. James R. Behrens officiating. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church.
       The family will provide the flowers and suggests donations be made to the church Memorial Fund, 1971 Lycoming Creek Road, Williamsport, PA 17701.

Victoria E. Mahlin

Victoria E. Collins Mahlin, 82, formerly of Danville, died Friday, June 2, 2006, at Sycamore Manor.

Born Nov. 15, 1923, in Williamsport, she was the daughter of Harry W. and Sarah E. Frey Collins.

She is survived by her sister-in-law Lois E. Collins and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother Harry M. Collins and a sister Marion E. Dahlgren.

A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery.

Individual Note:
     The 1920 census lists Matthew D. Lundy, 19 and single living with his brother, J. Raymond Lundy, 30 in Hepburn Twp., Lycoming Co. PA. Matthew has attended school since Sept 1, 1919. He is a wage working, farm laborer. (January 22 & 23, 1920; E.D. 41-16; sheet 3B; Thomas Ulmer, enumerator).

The 1930 census lists a Matthew Lundy, 29 and his family living in Eldred Twp., Lycoming Co., PA. The family includes, wife, Helen, 26; daughters, Betty Jane, 5; Lois E., 3 years 4 months; and Mabel, 1 year 2 months. Matthew was first married when he was 22 and Helen was 19. All were born in Pennsylvania. Matthew and Helen can read and write, and they own a radio. Matthew is a farmer and owns his farm. Matthew is not a veteran. They live adjacent to the Hiram Winter and William Hartman families north of Warrensville. (April 10-11, 1930; E.D. 41-11; Sheet 4A, page 60).

Individual Note:
     The 1920 census lists a J. Raymond Lundy, 30 living in Hepburn Twp., Lycoming Co., PA. His family includes his wife, Hellen E. 21; daughters, Annie M. 1 year 2 months; and Martha L. 3 months. He owns the farm but it is mortgaged. All were born in Pennsylvania. All persons of age can read, write and speak English. Raymond is a farmer working on his own account. Also living with them is Raymond's brother, Matthew D. Lundy, who is 19 and single; he has attended school since Sept. 1, 1919.      The 1900 census lists John Lundy, 43, b. January 1857 living in Eldred Twp., Lycoming Co., PA. Living with him are his wife, Jane, 40 b. Sept. 1859; daughter, Annie, 16 b. January 1884; sons, Mahlon, 15 b. May 1885; Russell, 13, b. May 1887; Raymond, 10 b. August 1889; William, 9, b. April 1891; Samuel, 4, b. July 1895; and Robert, 1, b. December 1898. John and Jane have been married 17 years. They have a total of eight children, seven of whom are still living. All were born in Pennsylvania. All can read and write. John is a farmer and was not unemployed during the past year. He rents his farm. They live adjacent to the Millard Casner family and the Charles McCaslin family. The 1910 census lists a John B. Lundy, 53 living in Eldred Twp., Lycoming Co., PA. Living with him are his wife, Jane M., 50; and sons, Samuel E., 14; Robert L., 11; and Matthew D., 9. John and Jane were both only married once, but it states they have been married 27 years. They had a total of 9 children, 8 of whom are still living. All were born in Pennsylvania. John is a farm laborer, working out. He was working as of April 10, 1910 but out of work for 20 weeks during 1909. He owns his house, free and clear; it is not a farm. He is not indicated as a survivor of the Civil War. They live between the John B. Casner and Samuel L. Casner families and in close proximity to Dr. Mahlon Milnor. The 1920 census lists a John B. Lundy, 62 living in Warrensville, Eldred Twp., Lycoming Co., PA. Living with him are his wife, Jennie., 60; and his mother, Mary Lundy, 85, who is widowed. John owns his house free and clear. All were born in Pennsylvania. John is a laborer in a butcher shop and is a wage worker. William was 23 when first married, and Bertha 22. All were born in Pennsylvania. William was not out of work in the last year and he is not a veteran. They live adjacent to the George Reeder family and the Kenneth Mosteller family.
