     OBITUARY: MUNCY PAPER 1851
On the 21st ult., in Wolf Township,Mr. Henry Ulsh, in the 67th year of his age.
Mr. Ulsh was confined to his chamber of affliction nearly four weeks. the nature of his disease was very complicated. During his illness he endured, with christian patience, a greater degree of extreme pain and suffering, than any other individual that has ever come within the circle of my acquataince. Of him it could be emphatically said, "He was chastened with pain upon his bed, and the multitude of his bones with wrong pain."
In the death of this much lamented indivicual the wife has lost an affectionate husband, the children, two of who are in the far West, a tender and beloved father, the communitey a valuable and strictly honest citizen, and the church, an actively poius and devor\ted member. Our loss as a church is, doubtless, judging the tree by it's fruits. his eternal gain.
Reader, are you prepared for death? Can you say with Paul? For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. Remember that when your appointed time comes, prepared or unprepared, you must fall beneath the irresistable stroke of that mighty conqueror, who annually bears away from the b road battle field of the world, upwards of 29 millions of human beings. You are, therefore, living a life of faith, in view, of the final struggle with death. If so, continue to live thus, and you shall then cetainly be crowned with victory at the close of your christian campaign. If, however, your's is not a life of living faith in Christ, O then remember well the following exhortations: "Prepare to meet thy God. Therefore be ye also r eady, for in such an hour as ye think not, the Son of Man cometh."
