Individual Note:
     The 1910 Federal Census lists a John Jeirles, 31, living in Vilas Park, Porter Twp., Lycoming Co., PA with his wife, May, 21, and children: Walter, 4; Charles, 3; and Bessie, 4 months. All three children are living. John and May have been married six years. John is a laborer in a Railroad Shop. All born in PA. Also living with them is a sister-in-law, Olive Eichelberger, 9. (May 5, 1910; E.D. 11; Sheet 9B).

The 1930 Federal Census lists a John F. Jerles, 52, of 602 E. Park St., Lock Haven, Clinton Co., PA. His wife Mae and 10 children live with him. His son Walter is married and a grandson, John E. 3 months also lives with them. John was 28 when first married and Mae was 16. Walter was 19 when first married. All born in PA. John is a laborer in a tannery. (April 2, 1930; E.D. 18-19; Sheet 1A)

     The ship manifest for the SS Stockholm arrived at Ellis Island, New York on November 10, 1920. Magnus William Forsberg, 19, single, male, farm laborer, speaks, reads and writes Swedish. Race: Scandanavian. Last permanent residence: Brevensbruk, Sweden. Nearest relative: Father: Magnus Forsberg, Brevensbruk, Kilsmo, Sweden. Final Destination: Bridgeport, Connecticut. {also: Brefvens bruk}

The 1930 Federal Census lists William Forsberg, 28 and his wife, Anna F., 25 and daughter, Doris, 4 yrs 7 months living at 1016 Howard Avenue, Bridgeport, Fairfield Co., CT. William is a tool maker in a tool factory. He immigrated in 1919 and Anna immigrated in 1923. William was 23 when first married and Anna, 20; both can read and write. They rent the house for $38 per month and they own a radio. (April 8, 1930; E.D. 1-25; Sheet 7A).

The 1933 City directory of Bridgeport, Connecticut lists William M. Forsburg (Anna M.) toolmkr AHNM Co. r. 510 Colorado Ave. Just above this listing is the Forsberg Manufacturing Co. mechanics, tools, hardware specialties, metal stampings. 125 Seaview Avenue tel: 3-0470. (page 241, col 3). Forsberg Manufacturing seems to be owned by a Magnus Forsberg and Waldemar Forsberg.

       M. Elizabeth Sheets, 97, of Unityville, died Monday Sept. 12, 2005, at the Millville Health Center. She was predeceased by her husband Harry, who died in 1977. She was born on April 9, 1908, in Unityville daughter of the late Boyd W. and Mary C. (Young) Long. Elizabeth was a life long resident of Unityville where she attended the Franklin Bethel and Wesley Chapel United Methodist Churches
