     Earl P. Winder, Jr. died in an automobile accident on December 28, 1972 when his southbound vehicle left the Route 15 roadway and travelled down a 300-ft embankment to the old Lookout Road, 3 miles south of South Williamsport near the overlook. Danny Ray Rodgers of Montgomery was a passenger in the car and was critcally injured.
