Nanette L. Irion

Nanette L. Irion, 44, of R. 121 North Loyalsock Avenue, Montoursville, died Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2006 at the Williamsport Hospital. Born Oct. 26, 1961 in Williamsport, she was the daughter of Elwood L. and Hilda Williams Irion.

Nanette graduated from Montoursville High School in 1980. She enjoyed working with children and worked for 18 years at Magic Years Child Care and Learning Center.

Surviving her are her parents of Montoursville; two sisters, Lynda M. Irion of Loyalsock Twp. and Maureen A. (Anthony) Panza of Middletown; two nieces, Brittany and Victoria; and her paternal grandfather and step grandmother, Walter F. and Beverly Irion of Montoursville.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, Feb. 25 at 10 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church, 1220 Northway Road, Williamsport, with her priest, the Rev. Andrew Kurvosky, officiating. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Friends will be received Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad St., Montoursville, PA 17754.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Make A Wish Foundation, 216 N. River Street, Court House Square Towers, Suite 450, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702.

Andrew Irion, 78 of Pawnee Rock, Kansas died in Larned Hospital at that place on Wednesday, April 22, 1953 after a lingering illness, it was learned by relatives here.
Surviving are his wife, Clara; two sons and four daughters, all of Kansas; one sister, Mrs. Katherine Kurtz, Montoursville RD1; two brothers, Charles of Williamsport and John of Montoursville. A number of nieces and nephews survive locally.
Services will be held in Pawnee Rock Saturday.

David Irion
David Irion of Fairfield Center was admitted to the Williamport Hospital, April 13, died Tuesday morning April, 15 at 2.:42 o'clock.
He was a member of the Moose Lodge 145 here and of the Improved Order of Redmen, Kenawha Tribe 283.
Surviving are four brothers, John of Montoursviille; Mathias and Charles, city; Andrew of Pawnee Rock, Kansas; and two sisters, Mrs. Katherine Kurtz of Montoursville RD and Mrs. Anna Waltz of Warrensville.
Services will be held at 2 pm Friday from the funeral home at 733 Broad Street, Montoursville, in charge the Rev. Jacob Duty of the Warrensville Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Montoursville Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 pm Thursday.

Katherine E. Pentz

Katherine E. Pentz, 93, of Levittown and formerly of Montoursville, died Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2006, at the Silver Lake Nursing Center in Bristol.

She was born on Nov. 7, 1912, in Palmerton, a daughter of Henry L. and Gwendolyn Downs Pentz.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family and in 1972 retired after 30 years teaching at Bensalem Twp. School District.

The funeral service will be held 2:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27, at the Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad St., Montoursville, with Pastor Connie A. Waugh officiating. Interment will follow in the Montoursville Cemetery. Friends will be received on Monday from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
