Harry E. Stugart Sr.
Harry E. Stugart Sr., 70, of 5990 Northway Road, Cogan Station died Friday, Dec. 12, 2003, at his residence. Born April 24, 1933, in Montoursville he was the son of William and Vera Ulrich Stugart.
He and his wife the former, Marjorie A. Sperry celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary on Feb. 19.
Retiring as a strander from the former Bethlehem Steel Corp. in Williamsport, he also operated a sanitation business for more than 40 years.
He was a member of the Williamsport Moose; DuBoistown VFW; Muncy Legion; 40 et 8; Williamsport Eagles and Independence Club.
Hunting, fishing and boating were his favorite hobbies.
Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Harry E. (Vickie) of Butler and Paul J. (Lisa) of Allison Park; three daughters, Kathern A. (Jeffrey) Reeder of South Williamsport, Barbara D. (Thomas) Reed of Cogan Station and Judy L. Harrington of Williamsport; three brothers, William and Harold of Williamsport and Ernest of Florida; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandson; and beloved dog, Buffy.
He was predeceased by a son, Timothy A.; a daughter, Dina Kay; three brothers, Albert, Reuben and Clifford; and a sister, Margaret Sechler.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad St., Montoursville, with the Rev. James R. Sunderland of Balls Mills United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Montoursville Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday.
