The 1880 Census lists Mary Cocks, 68, widowed head of the household in Richland Twp., Venango Co., PA. Living with her are her daughters, Jane 44 and Lucy 23. They also have a boarder, George Simpson, 18. (June 12, 1880; E.D. 253; p. 12)

The 1900 Federal Census lists Andrew Cocks, 51 b. Apr 1849 living in Richland Twp. Venango Co., PA. His sister Mary J. Cocks, 64 lives with him. Both are single. The 1860 Census lists Peter Mechly 45 and his wife Catharine 38 living in Cascade Twp., Lycoming Co., PA. The next page lists the children as Mulvey: William 21; Mary Ann, 18; Catherine 13; Margaret J. 12; and Joseph, 5. Peter is a farmer and his real estate is worth $600 and personal property is worth $300. William is also a farmer. Peter and Catherine were both born in Ireland. (July 11, 1860; p. 83)

The 1870 Federal Census lists Peter Mulvey, 53, and his wife, Catherine, 40, living in Cascade Twp., Lycoming Co., PA. Their children are Margaret 22 and Joseph 12. Peter is a farmer, Catherine keeps house. They were born born in Ireland. The children were born in PA. Their real estate is valued at $1000 and personal property at $50. Their parents are of foreign birth. (June 9, 1870; p. 2)

The 1880 Federal Census lists Catherine Mulvy, 60 and her children: Joseph 24 and Catherine 27 and a grandson, John F. Kane, 4 living in Cascade Twp.., Lycoming Co., PA. Catherine was born in Ireland, all others born in PA. Joseph is a farmer. (June 8, 1880; E.D. 52; p 10)

     The 1870 Federal Census lists Owen McGee, 45 b. in Ireland living in Cascade Twp., Lycoming Co., PA. Living with him are his wife, Mary, 35 b. Ireland: children: Catharine 16; Mary 12; Hugh, 9; Hannah, 7; Lucilia, 4; and Edward, 3. Owen is a farmer and his personal property is worth $300. All the children were born in PA. Owen and Catharine cannot read nor write. Post Office: Wallis Run. (June 11 1870; p. 11)

The 1880 Federal Census lists Owen McGee, 55 b. in Ireland living in Cascade Twp., Lycoming Co., PA. Living with him are his wife, Mary, 44 b. Ireland: children: Mary 22; Hannah 17; Hugh, 16; Edward, 13 and Anna, 8. Owen is a laborer. All the children were born in PA. Owen and Catharine cannot read nor write. (June 8 1880; E.D. 52; p. 10)

The 1900 Federal Census lists Owen McGee, 75 b. Dec 1824 Ireland living in Cascade Twp., Lycoming Co., PA. His wife, Mary, 64 b. Aug 1835 in Ireland lives with him. Owen immigrated to the United States in 1849 and Mary in 1850. Owen has been in the United States for 53 years and Mary for 50 years. He is a naturalized citizen. They have been married for 47 years with seven of nine children living. Owen is a farmer. It appears that his son Hugh and his family live adjacent. (June 11, 1900; E.D. 38; P. 49A)
