The 1920 Federal Census lists C.L. Frey, 30 and his wife, Georgiana, 24 living at 657 Ave., Williamsport, Lycoming Co., PA along with their children: Elizabeth , 3; Georgiana, 1 yr 4 mo. He is a house painter. He rents his house. All born in PA. They live adjacent to his father, Frederick Fry who lives at 1524 High Street, Williamsport with his family. (January 5, 1920; E.D. 100; Sheet 7A)

The 1930 Federal Census lists Lysle C. Frey, 40 and his wife, Georgiann, 34 living on Helen Street, Shamokin Borough., Northumberland Co., PA along with their children: Elizabeth A., 13; Georgiann R., 11; C. Lysle, 9; Phyllis V., 7; Frederick, 5; Mariford, (son) 3 yr, 1 mo; and Audrey A. 7 months. All born in PA. Lyle is a laborer for the power and light company. Lysle was 26 when first married and Georgiann was 20. He rents his house for $16 per month and they own a radio. (April 15, 1930; E.D. 55-15; Sheets 7A and 7B).


Lived in Shamokin Dam, PA in 1936.

     The 1910 census lists a Marion Fry, 18 and single living as a lodger in a boarding house at 235 Chestnut Street in Harrisburg, Dauphin County, PA. Marion works as a maid in a hotel. The boarding house owner's name is illegible.

The Application for Marriage Licence for Marion Gertrude Fry and Wood Miller states that both are divorced. Marion's divorce was finalized May 26,1919 and Wood's December 18, 1918.

The 1920 census lists Wood Miller, 47 and his wife, Marion J., 28 living at 325 W. Edwin Street in Williamsport, Lycoming County, PA. Wood rents the house and he is employed as a carpenter for a contractor. Both were born in Pennsylvania. Marion is not employed.

Marion and Wood were divorced in June 1925.

The 1930 census lists John E. Lloyd, 61 and his wife Marion, 39 living at 1302 Allegheny Street, Jersey Shore boro, Lycoming Co., PA. John is a grocery retail merchant. He owns his home that is worth $6500. John was 19 when first married and Marion, 22. All were born in Pennsylvania, except Marion's mother who was born in New Jersey. John is employed but not a veteran. Marion has no occupation.

     Robert Max Lupole Obituary from the Williamsport Sun-Gazette Tuesday, June 10, 2003 (not sure if this is the son of the correct Laura Fry)
       Robert Max Lupole Sr., 77, native of Williamsport, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2003.
       Born April 21, 1926, he was the son of the late Arlie and Laura (Fry) Lupole.
       Bob was a World War II Navy veteran and a lifetime member of both the DuBoistown V.F.W. Post #7863 and the Montoursville American Legion Post # 0104.
       He retired from Avco/Textron Lycoming in 1986 and moved to Lady Lake, Fla., where he resided with his wife, Annabelle (Hinkal).
       Surviving, besides his wife, are two sons, Robert Jr. of Jacksonville, Fla. and Larry of city; a daughter, Catheran Jackson of city; a brother, Charles of Hughesville; a sister, Lucille Fedroff of Antes Fort; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
       Graveside services were held on Thursday, June 5, at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Fla., with a full military honors conducted by V.F.W. Post 8083 Honor Guards of Bellview, Fla.

     1930 CENSUS: On 17 Apr 1930, Wilmer Fry was enumerated at 424 Mulberry Street, in the 2d Ward, Montoursville, Lycoming Co., PA, as a 27 year old Lutheran minister born in PA. This census indicated that he was first married at the age of 18, and that both his parents were born in PA. Also enumerated in the household were Pauline, age 27; Kirwood C., age 8; Benton R., age 6; and Phyllis A., age 3 yrs. 3 mos.

John W. Fry served in World War II as an Army Chaplain acheiving the rank of full Colonel. He was wounded in the battle of Leyte and received the Purple Heart. He lived at 68 West Middle Street, Gettysburg.

He was pastor of the St. James Church in Gettysburg according to newpaper articles.

Homecoming Service Set at Area Church
A homecoming service will be held on Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in the St. James (White Church) in Fairfield Twp., northeast of Montoursville. The Rev. John W. Fry of Gettysburg, a former pastor will be the speaker.
Special music will be presented the Hughesville Quartet and Young People's Choir of the church. Pastor Fry will speak at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Northway Road at 11 o'clock in the morning on the same day. Both services will be in charge of the pastor Rev. C.H. Hershey.

John Elmer Fry
John Elmer Fry, 78, of Muncy RD 2, died at his home on Monday, December 13, 1948 at 8:15 o'clock.
He was the son of the late Dewald and Mary Fry and a life-long resident of Muncy Township.
Surviving are the following children: Mrs. Grant Bussler, Pennsdale; Mrs. Norman Levan, Williamsport RD 2; Morris Fry, this city; Arthur, Danville; Elizabeth and Raymond at home; 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. One sister Mrs. Alice Walters, this city also survives.
Funeral services will be held at the home Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. Clay Reed in charge. Burial will be at Friends Cemetery, Pennsdale. Friends may call at the home Wednesday afternoon and evening.
