Barbara A. Maiolo
Barbara A. Maiolo, 73, of 14947 Beacon Blvd., IN, and formerly of Montoursville, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at the Saint Francis Medical Center, IN.
She was born September 21, 1933 in Williamsport and was the daughter of James and Elizabeth Boush Montague.
Barbara was a member of the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. She loved bingo and enjoyed watching cooking shows. She and her husband, Joseph R. Maiolo, Jr., celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary on July 2, 2006.
Surviving her besides her husband are four sons, Joseph R. (Kathryn) Maiolo III of McElhattan, Gerard J. (Babette) Maiolo of Linden, Patrick J. (Cindy) Maiolo of Fort Myers, FL, and Robert J. Maiolo of N. Hollywood, CA; five daughters, Kathleen M. Maiolo of Winfield, PA, Karen M. Maiolo of Germansville, PA, Frances M. (Jeffrey) Sessa of Columbia, MD, Bridget M. (Neil) Oliver of Riverview, FL, and Theresa M. Maiolo of Carmel, IN; twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 24, 2007, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 100 Walnut Street, Montoursville, with the Rev. Leo J. McKernan as celebrant. Internment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. There will be a visitation on Friday, March 23, from 6 to 8 p.m., with a rosary being recited at 7:45 p.m., at Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad Street, Montoursville, PA 17754.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 800 Mulberry Street, Montoursville, PA 17754.

JoAnn A. Baylor
JoAnn A. (Butts) Baylor, 68, of 336 Burns Road, Montoursville, went to be with our Lord on Friday, March 23, 2007, after a long fight with cancer.
JoAnn was born July 7, 1938, in Picture Rocks, the daughter of Hazel (Hall) and Harry Butts. She attended grade school at Picture Rocks and was a graduate of Hughesville High School in 1956. She was a member of the Picture Rocks United Methodist Church, which she has attended since childhood and where she was baptized. She was a former member of AARP and belonged to WOTM #384. She enjoyed reading, bowling, camping and crocheting, especially the crocheting of dog stockings for the SPCA Christmas stand, she assisted with this project for many years. Most of all she loved an enjoyed her grandchildren, especially babysitting them, when she was in better health. In 2001 JoAnn retired from Primus Technologies, formerly GTE Sylvania, after 28 years of service.
JoAnn is survived by two daughters and one son, Dawn (Jerry) Howell of Montoursville, Penelope (David) Garverick of Muncy and Robert (Beth) Baylor of Montoursville. She had four grandsons and five granddaughters, Shawn Michael Shaner at home, Joshua David and Baylor James Garverick of Muncy and Zachary Robert Baylor of Montoursville, Charity Lea Myers of Linden, Tiffany Sue (Joe) Girardi of VAFB, California, Jessica Lynn and Julia Baylor Garverick of Muncy and Anna Maelene Baylor of Montoursville. She also has three great grandchildren, Joey and Caitlin Girardi of VAFB, California and Tyler Anthony DiMassimo of Linden and one brother Harold (Sonny) Butts of Nokomis, Florida. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Baylor Sr. on October 9, 2004, her parents and one brother William (Bill) Butts.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water St., Hughesville, with the Rev. GayAnn Gearhart officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
The family will provide the flowers and suggest memorial contributions to either the Picture Rocks United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 366, Picture Rocks, PA 17762 or The Gatehouse, 1100 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701.
