VIVIAN DOEBLER Vivian B. Doebler, 92, passed away peacefully Thursday Feb. 8, 2007, at her daugh ter’s home in Scarsdale, NY, where she has lived since 2001. Born Nov. 5, 1914 in Montoursville, she was the daughter of the late Clark B. and Martha L. (Kelley) Bower. She graduated from Williamsport High School in 1931 and Wil liamsport Hospital Nursing School in 1935. She worked as a private duty nurse and a school nurse in Montoursville. In 1940 she married the Rev. Harold F. Doebler, who prede ceased her in 1992. She lived in Lafayette Hill from 1941 to 1968, in Wapwallopen until 1975 and Berwick until 2001. Vivian enjoyed her family, cooking, gardening, sports, picnicking and travel. She was always active in the churches Harold pastored. The great joy of her later years was watch ing the great-grandchildren grow. She will be greatly missed by her loving family of three chil dren, Clark and Joyce Doebler of Hatfield, Faith and Richard Forliano of Scarsdale, NY and Diane Doebler of Corning, NY; grandchildren Kathryn (Marc) Gerber,Todd Doebler, Thomas (Brooke) Forliano, Heather Nofri and Joseph Forliano; and great-grandchildren Ryan and Justin Gerber, Alexander and Carter Nofri, Alexa and Tommy Forliano. Memorial service in the Vil lage Lutheran Church, Bronx ville, Monday Feb. 12 at 4PM. Interment of the cremains will be at Montoursville Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flow ers, family requests donations to Faith United Church, 3rd and Dewey street, Nescopeck, PA or Jansen Memorial Hos pice, 69 Main St., Tuckahoe, NY 10707.

Individual Note: The 1870 Federal Census lists Thomas Rogers Sr., 53 and his wife, Elizabeth, 47 living Jersey Shore, Lycoming Co., PA. They have eight children: Calvin 21; Homer, 19; Mary J. 16; William, 13; Asher, 10; Robert, 8; Franklin, 8; and Elizabeth 3. Thomas is a laborer. Calvin and Homer are brickmakers. All born in PA.
