Idabelle Hepburn
Idabelle Hepburn, 94, of 216 Baxter Road, Montoursville, passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2007 at her residence.
She was born July 21, 1912 in Williamsport, and was the daughter of Clair and Myrtle Williamson Keefer.
Idabelle was the oldest member of Bethel United Methodist Church (Kimble Hill Road), she and her husband were the first couple married in the church. She retired along with her husband as the owner/operator of Hepburn’s Grocery in Loyalsock Twp.
Surviving her are four sons, Larry (Pauline) Hepburn, Jerry (Sandy) Hepburn, Donald (Connie) Hepburn, and Ronald (Mary) Hepburn, a daughter, Bonnie Hepburn, all of Montoursville; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death was her husband Chester Hepburn, who died August 16, 1980, an infant son and a brother Merrill Keefer.
The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, May 5, at the Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad St., Montoursville with Pastor Katherine Behrens officiating. Friends will be received on Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Montoursville Cemetery.

The 1881 Canadian Census lists Richard Hill (farmer) and his wife, Priscilla living in Innisfil, Simcoe South, Ontario, Canada. Children: Lewis, 26, theological student; Jonathan A., 24, school teacher; Richard, 22, farmer; Matilda, 20; Georgina, 18; Maurice A., 15, store clerk; Lewis M.E., 11; Russell E., 6. All born in Ontario, except Priscilla was born in Ireland. They are of the Methodist Church of Canada faith.
