Joseph Cialini, Jr.

Joseph Cialini, Jr., 69, of Naples, Florida and formerly of Coatesville, PA died Saturday, December 23, 2006 at home. Born in Coatesville, PA on February 10, 1937, he was the son of the late Guiseppe and Maria Ciccarelli Cialini.

Joe was a 1955 graduate of Coatesville High School and attended Villanova University. He served in the United States Army Reserves for two years. He was employed with Budd Company of Exton, and then with Ryder Truck Company in Miami, Florida. Upon his retirement, he moved to Naples, Florida. Joe was a former member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Coatesville and a member of St. Leo’s Church in Bonita Springs, Florida, where he served as an usher. Joe was a member of the Eagles Lodge and the LGM of Coatesville and was a 3rd degree Knight of Columbus.

He is survived by two sisters: Julia Lattanze of Towson, MD and Nancy Pitcherella of Coatesville; three nephews: Gregory Lattanze, Stephen and Vincent Pitcherella; four nieces: Marie Martini, Patricia Woodworth, Teresa Gordon and Barbara Milleson and 21 great nieces and nephews. Additionally, four cousins: Tetziana, Vincenzina and Antonelli Ciccarelli and Louisa Pettinaro, all of Italy. He was preceded in death by a brother: Dominic Cialini.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, January 3 at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 80 S. 17th Avenue, Coatesville, PA 19320. Family and friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., Wednesday at the Harris-Mountain Funeral Home, 1030 E. Lincoln Highway, Coatesville. Interment will be in St. Cecilia Cemetery, Coatesville.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Our Lady of the Rosary Church at the above address or to the Joseph Cialini, Jr. Scholarship Fund, c/o Villanova University, Office of Development, 800 Lancaster Avenue, Villanova, PA 19085-1673.

The Ship manifest for the SS Saturnia sailing from Naples, Italy arriving at New York on June 30, 1928 lists a Guiseppe Cialini, 30, male, married, laborer, Italian, born in Campli, Italy. Able to read and write Italian. Immigration visa issued at Washington DC on November 29, 1927. Last permanent residence: Berwind, Pa.

The ships manifest for the SS Saturnia sailing from Naples, Italy arriving at New York on March 18, 1932 lists a Guiseppe Cialini, 34, male, married and his wife, Maria Ciccarelli Cialini, 27, female, married, housewife, Italian, born in Campli, Italy. Also traveling with them is a 1 yr old female, D. Antonia Cialini.

VETERAN

Lloyd V. (Junie) Springman, Jr., 62, a resident of 1959 Elimsport Road, Montgomery, PA, passed away on Friday, May 25, 2007 in the Geisinger Medical Center at Danville, PA. Born in Williamsport, Lycoming County, PA, on Monday, February 26, 1945, he was the son of the late Lena (Getz) Springman.

He was the husband of Gloria J. (Staggert) Springman with whom he celebrated a 36th wedding anniversary on October 3, 2006.

Junie was a 1964 graduate of Williamsport High School and served during the Vietnam War with the U.S. Army in Germany.

Lloyd retired in 1995 from the A.C.F. Industries at Milton, PA.

He was a member of the Maple Hill United Methodist Church at Montgomery, PA and a member of the American Legion at Williamsport. He enjoyed attending yard sales, was a Chevy car enthusiast and was an avid Yankees baseball fan.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Eric L. and Jennifer Springman, Allenwood, PA; Wesley J. and Cherie Springman, Montgomery, PA; one brother, Louie Springman, Williamsport, PA; one sister, Lana Cuebas, Bodines, PA; three grandsons, Colby Springman; Tanner Springman; Jackson Springman.

A memorial service will be conducted from the Maple Hill United Methodist Church, Ridge Road, Montgomery, PA at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 30, 2007 with Roosevelt Brown, his pastor, officiating. Friends may call on Wednesday from 12 to 1 p.m. at the church. If desired memorial contributions may be made to the Maple Hill United Methodist Church, C/O 41 West Houston Avenue, Montgomery, PA 17752.
