Individual Note: The 1850 Federal Census lists a Lester Adams, 66 and his family in Berlin Twp., Wayne Co., PA. Also living with Lester Adams is his wife, Mary 64, b. in PA, son Lester S. Adams, 20 b. in PA and daughter Harriet, 20 b. in PA, also Lester Hodrow, 14, (sic) HOLDREN. Lester Adams is a blacksmith and his property is worth $2500.

Individual Note: A Hendrick HALDRON and Annatje DECKER, his wife, had children baptized 1738 and 1743 at Mahackemack (Port Jervis), in Orange County, New York. Some of their descendants are probably the families later found in Sussex County, New Jersey, of which Henry HOLDREN (1754-1854, Revolutionary War soldier, was a member. Their children are: Nelson, 19 b. in PA; Rosetta, 16, b. in PA; Matilda, 10 b. in PA; Truman, 8 b.in Michigan; Jacob, 4 b. in Michigan; Mary, 2 b. in Michigan; also a Mary A. Adams, 84 b. in ditto Michigan. Lester is a blacksmith, his property is worth $5000 and personal property is worth $200. [Research note: Mary Adams, 84, was probably not born in Michigan, she is believed to be the mother of Lester Adams.]
The 1880 Federal Census lists Lester Y. Adams, 51 b. in PA and his wife, Harriet, 49 b. in NY, living in Schoolcraft Twp., Kalamazoo, Michigan. Their children are: Nelson, 29 b. in PA (crossed out, note lives in next township); Rosetta, 25, b. in PA; Matilda, 20 b. in PA; Truman, 8 b.in Michigan; Jacob, 15 b. in Michigan; Maude, 6. b. in Michigan; Mary, 12 b. in Michigan; Theodore, 9 b. in Michigan.
