Prior to 1738, Rudolph and brother Jonas were located by their fatheron 719 acres near the Little Conewago Creek on the "ConococheagueRoad", Jackson Twp., 7 miles west of York PA, subsequently known asSpangler Valley. Prior to 1856, every acre of this tract was occupiedand owned by Spanglers.

In 1729, settled west of the Susquehanna River on a 385 acre tract 0.2miles east of the Codorus Creek with a title from Thomas Penn 30 Oct1736, on which York Town was laid out 13 years later.
He was later granted 719 acres 7 miles west of the Codorus on which hesettled his sons Jonas and Rudolph. The family cemetery is under theschool yard at Heistand Station.
Will was probated in York 28 Apr 1760.
