The 1920 census lists Joseph Winder 23 and his wife Mary, 20 living on Mountain Road in Clinton Twp. Lycoming Co, PA. They have a son Correll who is 11 months old. Also living with then is a sister-in-law, Reba Edkin, 16 and single. Joseph works in a furniture shop.

The 1930 census lists Joseph E. Winder, 33 and his wife Mary C., 32 living in Clinton Twp., Lycoming Co., PA with their children: Correll 11; Naoma, 9; Robert E. 4 yr 4 mo; Clementine 1 yr 8 mo. Joseph is a rubber in a furniture factory. He owns his house which is worth $1000. Joseph was 21 when first married and Mary 20. All born in PA. They live at 128 Baptia School Road. (E.D. 41-1; Sheet 10B; April 21, 1930).

Individual Note:
     The 1910 census states that Thomas and Lucy have 7 children, all living. They lived in the borough of Montoursville and had been married for 31 years. Thomas worked as a laborer for the electric railroad, and his son George was a motorman for the railroad. All the children, except one were living at home in 1910.

Mrs. Harry W. Collins
Mrs. Sara E. Collins, 47, of 733 1/2 Grace Street, died at the Williamsport Hospital at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 24, 1947 after a long illness.
She is survived by her husbard Harry W. Collins; a son, Harry M. Williamsport RD 2; two daughters, Victoria E. at home and Marion E. of this city; two brothers, Henry and John, both of this city; three sisters, Mrs. Marion Lloyd and Mrs. Frank Jury, of this city and Mrs. Edna Ford of South Williamsport; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, at the funeral home at 733 Broad Street, Montoursville, with the Rev. F.A. Poffenberger officiating. Burial will be made in the Green Lawn Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 o'clock this evening.

     The 1930 Census lists Clark L. Smith, 34, and his family living at 28 Spaulding, in the village of Silver Creek, Hanover Twp., Chataugua Co., NY. Clark is a proprietor of a cigar store. Also living with him are his wife, Eva, 32; son John Knox, 5; and daughter, Alice M. 2 yrs 4 months. All born in NY. He rents the house for $30 per month. Clark was 22 when first married and Eva, 21.

     The 1860 Federal Census lists Henry Winder, 25 and his wife Dorothy, 21 living in Lewis Twp., Lycoming Co. PA. He is a blacksmith, they have no children.

According to the 1880 Federal Census, he and his family lived in Cogan House Twp., Lycoming Co., PA.

Steam Valley postoffice was established August 2, 1872, and Henry Yoder was appointed postmaster. His successors served as follows: Henry F. Winder, appointed April 7, 1879; Charles H. Naylor, June 4, 1887, present incumbent.
