Golden Wedding on Christmas Day
Christmas and their fiftieth wedding anniversary fell together yesterday for Mr. and Mrs. Warren Winder of 2501 N. Shadrick Street, (sic Chadwick) and a double celebration was held last night in their home. Winder, a carpenter, is 72 years old. Mrs. Winder, who before her marriage a half century ago was Marie A. Ricker, of Easton, is 71.

Mr., Mrs. Elmer Stabler observe 60th anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Elmer C. Stabler, Montoursville, will observe their 60th wedding anniversary June 26, 2007.

They were married by the Rev. George Miller at Warrensville Evangelical Church. They are members of Heilman United Methodist Church, Montoursville.

Mrs. Stabler, the former Shirley R. Hicks, is a native of Pennsdale. She is the daughter of the late Mabel and Walter Hicks. She graduated from the former Muncy Creek High School in 1944. She was employed by the former GTE Sylvania, Montoursville; Bryfogles, Muncy; House of Flowers, Hughesville; and Rose Wood Flowers, Muncy.

Mr. Stabler, a native of Muncy, is the son of the late Esther and Irvin Stabler. He graduated from Muncy Creek High School in 1943 and retired from Young Industries, Muncy. He continues to hobby farm on his 120-acre farm near Huntersville.

They are the parents of four sons, David, Circleville, N.Y.; Douglas and Michael, both near Huntersville; and William, Summerville, S.C. There are eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

In honor of their anniversary, a family gathering is being planned for this summer.
