Elizabeth Barnett Pope to wed Jason Aaron Smithgall in April
Elizabeth Barnett Pope
Mr. and Mrs. William Alexander Pope of Atlanta and Washington announce the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth Barnett, to Jason Aaron Smithgall, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Frederick Smithgall of Atlanta.
Miss Pope is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Southwood Smith Tison Jr. of Savannah and the late Mr. and Mrs. Marion Pembroke Pope of Washington.
She attended The Westminster Schools in Atlanta and graduated from Episcopal High School in Alexandria, Va. Miss Pope is a graduate of the University of Georgia in Athens with a degree in Journalism in Public Relations from The Henry W. Grady School of Journalism and a degree in Spanish from The Franklin College of Arts and Sciences. At the University of Georgia she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. Miss Pope is employed by a public relations firm in Atlanta.
Mr. Smithgall is the grandson of Mrs. Clarence Edgar Edmondson and the late Mr. Edmondson and Mrs. Charles Augustus Smithgall Jr. and the late Mr. Smithgall of Gainesville.
He is a graduate of Holy Innocents Episcopal High School in Atlanta and the University of Georgia where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. Mr. Smithgall is employed by a real estate investment company in Atlanta.
An April wedding is planned at All Saints Episcopal Church in Atlanta. Following a honeymoon in St. Lucia, the couple will reside in Atlanta.

Miss Waltz Wed
A pretty wedding was solemnized at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon Nov. 7 at the Warrensville Baptist Church when Miss Laura A. Waltz, daughter of Mrs. Anna Waltz, Montoursville RD2, became the bride of Earl A. Chaapel, also of Montoursville RD 2.
A ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. J.O. Baer, pastor of the church in the presence of immediate family and friends.
Attending the couple were Miss Eleanor Waltz, and Herman C. Waltz, this city; the latter is the brother of the bride. Miss Lola Kurtz of Warrensville played the wedding marches, and preceding the ceremony, Mrs. Herman Waltz sang "I Love You Truely".
Mr. & Mrs. Chaapel left for a motoring trip through Ohio, Tennessee and other southern states.

Melissa L. Winder and Luke A. Guthrie, both of Lock Haven, were united in marriage at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, June 3, 2006.
The Rev. Fred Feilds officiated at the ceremony held at Castanea Methodist Church.
A reception was held at the Clinton County Country Club, Mill Hall, and a rehearsal dinner was held at Broadway Hotel, Jersey Shore.
The bride is the daughter of Judy and Scott LaForme, Loganton. She graduated from Central Mountain High School, Mill Hall, in 2000 and received a certificate of cosmetology from Empire Beauty School in 2002. She is employed by UPS.
Guthrie is the son of Tammy and Rick Guthrie, Lock Haven, and Becky and Dan Campbell, Mill Hall. He graduated from the former Lock Haven High School in 1999 and attended Lock Haven University. He is employed by Susquehanna Supply.
Matron of honor was Tysa Sten, Pittsburgh, cousin of the bride.
Maid of honor was Nikki Fravel, Mill Hall.
Bridesmaids were Sarah Miller, Castanea, Breanna Winder, Philadelphia, cousin of the bride, and Carrie Corman, Beech Creek.
Flower girl was Alexa Guthrie, Lock Haven, daughter of the couple, and Sophie Corman, Beech Creek.
Ring bearer was Leim Winder, Williamsport, cousin of the bride.
Best man was Jeff Kalie, Shickshinny, and Brad Myers, Lock Haven, cousin of the bridegroom.
Ushers were Heath and John Stout, both of Castanea, and Jon Corman, Beech Creek.
The couple is residing in Lock Haven and is planning a trip to Las Vegas.
