Text:   Eudora Fry Lyon, 95, died peacefully at home on Thursday, August 7, 2008.
   
She was born on July 13, 1913 in Montoursville, the daughter of Samuel and Margaret Jones Fry.
   
Eudora graduated from Montoursville High School in 1930 and was valedictorian of her class. She and her sister, Esther Fry Huyck, owned and operated the Fry-Lyon Dancing School in Williamsport for 48 years.
   
In 1934, she married George W. Lyon, who passed away in 1963. She was also predeceased by a son, George, Jr., who passed away in 1990 and a daughter, Elizabeth, who passed away 2002.
   
She was a lifetime member of the Episcopal Church of Our Saviour in Montoursville, serving as a Sunday School Teacher, assistant organist, senior warden, and lifetime member of the Vestry. In the community, Eudora was a past president of the Montoursville P.T.A. and past president of the Soroptimist Club of Williamsport. Also, until the age of 90, she was an active member of the Bridge Club of Williamsport and a member of the American Contract Bridge League, where she achieved life master rating.
   
Eudora was a kind, caring person, who was loved and admired by all who knew her.
   
She is survived by a son, Thomas of Las Vegas, NV; a daughter, Esther, with whom she lived; a grandson, Aaron; granddaughters, Kathleen, Amanda, and Elizabeth; two great-grandchildren, Jack and Leah; and a daughter-in-law, Susan T. Lyon.
   
A memorial service for Eudora will be held on Tuesday, August 12 at 6:30 p.m. at the Church of Our Saviour, 31 N. Loyalsock Ave., Montoursville. Friends will be received in the church fellowship hall following the service.
   
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church in Eudora's memory.
   
Arrangements are by Spitler Funeral Home, Montoursville.
