Text: Harry A. Fiester, 86, of Muncy, died Thursday, March 6, 2008, at Sycamore Manor.
Born October 2, 1921, in Muncy, he was a son of the late James and Eva Miller Fiester. His wife of 59 years, the former Frances M. Fry, preceded him in death on April 6, 2007.
Harry was a WW II Veteran serving in the US Army. He was employed with the former Modecraft in Muncy for over 30 years and retired in 1987 from Young Industries, Muncy.
Surviving are three sons, Burton Fiester of Milton, Edward Fiester of Hughesville and Jeffrey Fiester of Muncy; three daughters, Cathy Berry of Muncy, Connie Wommer of Muncy and Cindy Dangler of Loyalton; 15 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, Harry was preceded in death by two sons, Allen and Dale Fiester; and a grandson, Shawn Fiester.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water St., Hughesville, with the Rev. Robert A. Lauver officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery with graveside military honors accorded by combined veteran’s organizations. Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Text: The funeral of George W. Person, who died Saturday at the age of seventy-two years, was held from his late home in Fairfield Twp. Monday afternoon. The services were conducted by Rev. D.E. Lewis, pastor of the Erie Avenue Baptist Church. Deceased is survived by his widow, three sons and three daughters; four brothers and one sister.

SCHUTTINGER. Charles J. Schuttinger, 89, of 48 William F. Palmer Road, Moodus, died Saturday (Aug. 27, 1994) at Chestelm Convalescent Home in Moodus, after a long illness. He was the husband of the late Julia Vujs Schuttinger. He was born in New York City, June 19, 1905, the son of the late Charles and Ella Rankin Schuttinger. Mr. Schuttinger worked at Broadway Savings Bank in New York City before his retirement. He belonged to the Holy Name Society, Woodside, N.Y. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Terry Schuttinger of Columbus, Ohio; a daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy and Frank Scarpini Jr. of Moodus; a son-in- law, Edward Bocek of Southington; seven grandchildren, William and Thomas Schuttinger, both of Columbus, Ohio, Edward and Brian Bocek, both of Southington, and Dawn, Jill, and John Scarpini of Moodus; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Mary Bocek. Funeral procession will leave the Swan Funeral Home, 2 7 W.F. Palmer Road, Moodus, Tuesday, 10:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 11 a.m., at St. Bridget's of Kildare Church, Moodus. Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill.
