Text:   Harvey Stauffer, Sr., 95, a resident of 1491 Middle Road, Muncy, PA, passed away on Monday, January 21, 2008.
   
Born in Union Twp., Snyder County, PA, on Saturday, February 10, 1912, he was the son of the late Elias and Annie (Heim) Stauffer.
   
He was the widower of Martha Anna (Maurer) Stauffer who preceded him in death on March 3, 2006.
   
Harvey was a self-employed horticulturist. He and his wife were the proprietors of Stauffer’s Greenhouse at Muncy.
   
He enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening.
   
He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, AnnaFaye and Clifford Fry, Pennsdale, PA; Martha Jane and Alvin Hoffman, Muncy, PA; three sons and daughters-in-law, Robert E. and Diane Stauffer, Westland, MI; Jerry E. and Georgia Stauffer, Muncy, PA; Harvey and Kathy Stauffer, Jr., Muncy, PA; one sister, Aretta Spriggle, Selinsgrove, PA. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
   
Harvey was preceded in death by four brothers, Carson Stauffer, James Stauffer, Grant Stauffer and Henry Stauffer and by four sisters, Lena Reinard, Jennie Shaffer, Annie Brubaker and Carrie Stauffer.
   
Funeral services will be conducted from the Galen R. Betzer Funeral Service, 108 North Main Street, Muncy, PA at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 26, 2008 with Rev. David Culbertson, pastor of St. James Episcopal Church at Muncy, and Elder Christopher Hoffman, Harvey’s grandson, officiating. Interment will be in the Twin Hills Memorial Park, Fairfield Twp., Lycoming County, PA. Friends may call on Friday from 6:30 - 8:30 P.M. at the funeral home.
   
At Harvey’s request, please no flowers. If desired memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
