Text:   Marjorie Mary (Peggy) Egli, 84, passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2008, in the Muncy Valley Hospital Skilled Nursing Unit. Born in Danville, Montour County, PA, on Monday, April 16, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Eugene H. Diehl.
   
She was the widow of David Paul Egli who preceded her in death on March 27, 2005.
   
Peggy was a 1941 graduate of Danville High School. She was employed by the former Montgomery Mills for 15 years.
   
She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church at Muncy, PA for over 60 years and had taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School for many years. She was a member of the church choir for over 50 years. Peggy was a former member of the West Branch Chorale and enjoyed camping with her family. For a number of years she was an avid bowler.
   
She is survived by one son, Wesley Egli, Picture Rocks, PA; two daughters and 1 son-in-law, Mary Lentz, Kingston, NY; Bonnie and Rodney Brown, Muncy, PA; five grandchildren, Margot Brown; Melissa Lentz; Carrie Egli; Steven Brown; Charles Lentz; two sisters, Betty Zeisloft, Catawissa, PA; Frances Campbell, Danville, PA; one brother, Roland Diehl, Vancouver, WA. In addition to her husband, Peggy was preceded in death by 1 sister, Harriet and 2 brothers, Harold Diehl and Carl Diehl.
   
Funeral services will be conducted from the First United Methodist Church, 602 South Market Street, Muncy, PA at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 15, 2008 with Reverend Michael R. Gardy, her pastor, officiating. Interment will be in the Muncy Cemetery. Friends may call on Saturday from 9:30 - 11:00 A.M. at the church. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the West Branch Chorale, C/O Jeanne Berninger, 306 W. Penn Street,Muncy, PA 17756 or to the Susquehanna Health System Skilled Nursing Unit, 215 E. Water Street, Muncy, PA 17756.

Alberta M. Fry, 91, of Picture Rocks, died Tuesday, June 12, 2007, at her home.
   
Born March 10, 1916, in Tivoli, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Anna Cox Foust. Her husband of 49 years, Alvin J. Fry, preceded her in death on April 20, 1984.
   
Alberta retired from the East Lycoming School District in 1978 after having worked in the high school cafeteria for 23 years.
   
Alberta was a member of the Picture Rocks United Methodist Church since 1928. She taught Sunday School and served various administrative positions within the church. Alberta was a member of the former Lady Hughes Rebekah Lodge 215 and was a past Noble Grands. She was also a member of the Hughesville Garden Club, the Hughesville and Picture Rocks Senior Citizens, the Muncy Valley Hospital Auxiliary and the George Callenberger Bocce Ball League, Picture Rocks.
   
Surviving are a step-granddaughter, Linda Kirkpatrick; a step-great granddaughter, Kelly Steinhauser; and several nieces and nephews.
   
Alberta is preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Marjorie Reichert; three sisters, Beatrice Hunter, Pauline Phillips and Catherine Laurenson.
   
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, at the McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water St., Hughesville. Burial will follow in Picture Rocks Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
